Robin Jéquier grew up in the West Midlands of Britain and studied piano and organ at The Royal Academy of Music in London.

He then changed tack and served in the British Army for sixteen years. On completing his military service he worked in finance and fundraising consultancy.

An active member of his local Writers’ Group, he is married with three adult sons.

One son suffers from a genetically inherited disease, an incurable condition which first triggered Robin’s interest in genetics.

Learning about the benefits and risks of gene therapy and gene editing inspired Robin to write The Gene Deal, his first novel.

Robin’s home is in Wiltshire where he lives with his wife and dog, and where he still plays the organ.
